Most of us would prefer to wager on Event & Suicide Pools for the UFC events, but we'll have to wait until October 24th before UFC 104 comes around... so here is MMA Crypt's 1st Event Pool.

Event Pool I - MFC 22 : Payoff

The rules, entry fee & awards are as follows :

This pool requires that you pay the entry fee of 500 Crypt Cash points and pick the fighters offered in the event that you expect to be the winners, you must pick a winner for each bout in the Event Pool.

There are 5 bouts above to make your picks in, and 2 incorrect picks eliminates you from the Pool.

If all players have 2 or more incorrect picks, the player or players with the most amount of correct picks will win 1st Place in the Event Pool.

If only 1 player is not eliminated he will win all of the prize awards, if more than 1 player or players are tied for 1st Place they will split the award prizes between them.

If 2 players are tied for 1st Place, they will split the 1st & 2nd Place awards along with the entry fee bonus, leaving only the 3rd Place award for any other player or players in 3rd Place.

If 3 or more players are tied for 1st Place, they will split the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place awards along with the entry fee bonus, and there will be no 2nd or 3rd place winner.

This pool does not continue and a winner(s) is / are determined after the event.


Prizes :

1st Place : 5,000
2nd Place : 2,500
3rd Place : 1,250

The 1st Place winner or winners will also collect the entry fee that each player has paid as a bonus.

Fight picks must be entered in this thread by October 1, 2009 no later than 11:00 pm East Coast Time, and entry fees will be deducted shortly after 12:00 am on October 2, 2009.

Another one that's kinda a slow starter, but Heath probably wins round 1 by 10 - 9.

Damn !! Round 2 looked like rock 'em sock 'em robots with both guys head hunting with power shot after power shot ! I give round 2 to Nickels.

So far, one round each...

Round 3 starts and Heath loses his mouthpiece again... the ref deducts a point... Heath now needs a KO or stoppage to win.

Jeez... this was a sloppy fight... Nickels was winning the round and with the point deduction could have just taken it by points, but submits Heath at a little over 4 minutes into round 3 by RNC.

We're going through and verifying the outcomes of the various Fantasy MMA Challenges that we've put on here and some of the early games were a bit different as far as payouts go, but we wanted to get a more accurate list of the outcomes for possible future player rankings for each of the games that have a history for.

So here are the correct winners & place finishers in the Event Pool I :

Woodzulu & UFC Fan came in with 4 for 5 and tied for 1st Place... according to the rules for this event at that time, Woodzulu & UFC Fan take 1st Place and split all of the winnings & entry fee bonuses : 8,750 + 5,500 = 14,250/ 2 = 7,125 Crypt Cash each.

There was no 2nd place winner due to the 1st Place tie.

JimDaeWong, MMA Guru, Chuck Dallas, & Chuteboxfan all tied for 3rd Place but were not eligible for any prize awards.
