So, im not quite sure if this goes here or in the "crypt training" section but i'll shoot anyways.

There are a lot of schools when it comes to MMA striking (IMO) the most common one is out boxing (like Randy and Rampage for exampel, alot of hands not to many kicks) even thou most MMA incorporate low kicks. There is muay thai(Vanderlei Silva), kickboxing(Crocop), karate (mostly just Lyoto Machida) and then there are variations and wierd and uniqe mix's.

My question is! Which is your favorite style of striking and why?
Which one is the most effektive?
What's the best "basic" to begin with?
Is the one complete style or is it better to mix single techniques and chose a uniqe style!?
:ugeek:

while I'm not a boxing fan anymore, it's really an art. I would be ideal to learn it as young as you can IMO. So many MMA fighters have really shitty striking and boxing would fix that. A well used jab can be such a great tool to setup soooo many other options. For me Boxing would be the ideal stand up. Then you can add the kicks in but boxing will teach you how to have a good base which is very important IMO.

I have to say muay thai is the best although u can learn good things from every style muay thai is the ultimate best for conditioning and mental toughness.
