Round 1
It was a feeling out round for both men. Mosley tried to establish the jab, but couldn't find the range so far. Mayweather landed the more authoratative punches in the round and landed some crisp combinations. But, it was a very tenative start.
Round 2
It was a different story early into the round. Mosley landed a clean big right hand that hurt Mayweather. Mosley pressed the action and really got to Mayweather. Mayweather rallied toward the end of the round, but it was Mosley's round.
Round 3
Mayweather regained control in the round. Mosley could barely touch him. Mayweather was finally able to use his speed and land some quality shots. It's going to be a fight of adjustments.
Round 4
Mayweather's speed is becoming the dominant theme so far. Mosley is not letting his hands go and Mayweather is starting to take control. Mosley's going to have to take some chances or at least use his jab more frequently to stay in this fight.
Round 5
Mosley did a little better in this round, but he needs to get busy. The pace is Mayweather's and right now the crowd, which was chanting "Mosley" in Round 2 is quiet. Mayweather is relaxed and seems to be in control.
Round 6
Mayweather's countering and speed are baffling Mosley. Mayweather is landing clean, hard shots to Mosley's head, including three around the 1-minute mark. Mosley needs to do something to disrupt Mayweather's rhythm.
Round 7
Who would have thought that Mayweather would be forcing Mosley to fight going backward? Mayweather is landing some hard shots and is moving Mosley back. Any action in the center of the ring is all Mayweather.
Round 8
It's getting nasty now. Early in the round, they got tied up and it appeared that Mosley tried to throw Mayweather down. Mayweather didn't like it and when they were told to touch gloves, Mayweather did and then touched Mosley's face. Mayweather hurt Mosley with some quality shots after talking some trash and laughing at Mosley.
Round 9
Round was pretty uneventful until a late flurry by Mayweather. Mosley looks to be a defeated man at this point.
Round 10
Mayweather is having fun with him. He's making Mosley look silly, landing blows with no response. Mosley, a prolific finisher, looks tired as well.
Round 11
It looks like we're going the distance. Mayweather looks content to pile up the points and take a decision win. Mayweather appears to have taken Mosley's heart — something that has never been done before.
Round 12
Mosley shows his courage in this round, giving it everything he's got. He landed some good lefts to the body — where were they nine rounds ago? Mosley pins Mayweather against the ropes, not landing much, but being aggressive. However, Mayweather was too much for him — even in the final round it seems.

Yeah, boxing just doesn't do it for me anymore. I cannot sit around and watch 12 boring rds anymore. It's too predictable and the pace is too slow.

So I'll eat a milk shake made with my own #*&$ if Floyd Mayweather ever KO's anyone again. I told everyone at work talking about it that IF Floyd won it'd be a 12 round decision. There would only be a KO if Mosley won. They were all saying Floyd would KO him early in the 5th round or somewhere toward the middle rounds and I was laughing my #*$ off because Floyd is too scared to put it out there that he's been content with taking 12 round decisions for a while now. I hope Manny and him fight, that's gunna be the first fight in a while that (I hope anyway) Mayweather wont be "content" looking for a decision victory at the end of the 9th.

I agree, I went 3 for 3 on betting in this fight.
1 Floyd wins (pretty easy)
2, fight goes distance (again, easy)
3, Floyd wins by decision, (again, cake)
I'm just happy I didn't have to watch the fight.

So none of you guys actually watched the fight? Because...dare I say it...it was actually pretty exciting. Sure it was a unanimous decision victory, but Floyd whooped that ass. Mosely had him hurt early on, I actually had Shane winning two rounds, and Mayweather came back and dominated him completely, it was classic. Plus, besides the Pacquiao fight, this was pretty much the best fight that could have been made at welterweight.
In other news...anybody here know Sergio Martinez? Yeah, the guy who just took Kelly Pavlik's title at middleweight? There is talk of Floyd fighting HIM. Whether FLoyd would move all the way up or if it would be at a catchweihgt I'm not sure, but I'd love to see that. Furthermore, I'd love to see the Pacquiao fight too, but Floyd would come out on top. He's a bit faster and more technical, plus all Pacqiao has been doing for the last three years is either beating guys that Floyd already beat, or beating mediocre opposition like Clottey. It was just as much Manny's fault as Floyd's that the fight didn't happen.

thats simply bc boxing has gone a a dowhill slope with talent, at least imo. and considering this was about the last semi interesting fight in boxing i would rather spend my 60 bucks on a ufc ppv.

Bpxing hasn't gone downhill because of talent that's for sure, there's plenty of talented boxers out there, it's just that the decline in the quality of busines dealings and promotion combined with the explosion of the UFC has led to a huge decline in the starpower potential of boxing prospects and even established champions, which is why nobody knows who Lucian Bute, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler, Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams, Vic Darchinyan, Yoriukis Gamboa, David Haye, Amir Khan, or Juan Manuel Lopez are.

The thing i don't like about boxing is there's no guys with vicious KO power anymore all the fights go to decision or TKO.

mah, the talent imo isnt tha same as it was. not saying there is no talent, just not like it used to be. but yes as you said that is partially due to the uprising of mma.

The talent in the heavyweight division has certainly plummeted, that's for sure, but in the lighter weight classes theres countless dudes who are bad as hell and have great personalities, but promoters are just not as effective as they used to be...boxing was huge in the 90s when you had huge heavyweight names like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, etc.
Aye, everybody wants to remember the golden age of boxing for it's legendary heavyweights. Ali, Frasier, Liston, Foreman, etc. If the heavyweight division is stagnant, I think most casual fans won't pay much attention to the lower weight classes, sadly.

I watched half the fight Kimurafan, the last half, and it looked more boring than a Jon Fitch fight. Yes Floyd is fast, and yes he's accurate too and blah blah blah. My problem with him is that he talks all sorts of garbage about KOing people and yet I haven't seen that in a long, long, long, long, long time. Floyd has way too big a mouth for his mediocre fighting style. THAT is my only issue with Floyd Mayweather. After that, it IS a bit enjoyable, but not before.

I know of ALL those guys you've mentioned. I watched that Bute fight where he KO'd that guy with a short hook. I've watch some of the others fight as well, but it's no longer what it used to be for me. No takedowns, GNP,subs, kicks, etc..., it's just too predictable for me know. I grew up on boxing, Cesar Chavez was my idol back then. Now a days, I can't get into boxing. I tried to watch Arreolas(•)(•)(heehee) last fight, which a coworker told me was exciting, only to catch myself fast forwarding the while fight. If I was still into boxing this fight would've been awesome, but 12rds of punching and that's it doesn't do it for me anymore. I'll watch Pac man and Maywrather fight only to hopefully see Gayweather KO'd and that's the only reason why.(he's not in mma so he's not a real fighter);)

I'm no longer a fan of the "sweet-science" because of guys like Mayweather.
I intentionally missed this one because of Mayweather... IMO this guys is a complete ______________. (fill in the blank any number of ways)

The last Bute fight was kind of a joke, Edison Miranda was one of those trumped-up challengers we see way too often in boxing nowadays. Arreola is a decent fighter but will never be great, and I cn't get past the name either haha. Cesar Chavez was and still is the fucking man. Oh and just a bit of FYI for everybody up in here...
Mayweather will whip Pac Man's ass if they ever fight.
