I agree on what it is about, but being in the last fight is always a negative issue because of that reason, whether there has been a wild card or not. Also, Joe is clearly out of his depth seeing as he just lost to a guy who is pretty clearly not a good fighter.

Being "Out of his depth" is irrelevant because he did the one thing nobody else did, actually put everything out there. I don't believe it was everything he could've given, but he definitely did a lot more in a losing effort than anyone else on this season. Nobody on the show seems to actually "Want" this except him.

I haven't watched 1 second of this season (or the last 5 or 6 for that matter) but I agree, that is the entire point of the WC spot

Just watched the Joe Daddy/Edwards fight episode, and thought Joe did a strong job, showed a lot of heart and desire, but he did eat some hard shots, especially in the second round. Thought rd. 1 was actually pretty close, Joe got a couple takedowns, but when they showed the highlights, it did look like Justin got the cleaner, harder shots, and in the end, I think the call for Edwards was justified and correct.

Now I'm watching the next episode, so we'll see if Joe can survive against Hassan...

Quick edit, no spoilers: Cody is really not the brightest guy. He sat in a room with TJ , Dana on video screen, and Cody and TJ made their recommendations for the wildcard. Cody took issue with TJ putting Joe Daddy up for the wildcard shot, and had some good reasons, valid reasons why Stephenson might not have been the best choice for the wildcard fight, but Dana White made the call. Now Cody and his team are making out like TJ made the decision, which is patently not what happened...

I tell you what this season has done for me.........it's made me dislike Cody and TJ quite a lot, a couple of spoilt little twats. The pair of them arguing whilst their fighters were weighing in this week was fucking pathetic, and I was so happy James Krause told them both to shut the fuck up. I really like Krause now too!

I've been watching this season closely...I havent like Tj since the seaason he won, beacause of his holier than tho entitled attitude...with that said, I'm not overly upset at anything Cody does...but yeah squabbling during the fighter weighins was a bit annoying...Tj is a self serving whiney brat as far as I'm concerned and I look forward to their eventual fight.
Just because I can NEVER remember how to score my points!
6 points for winning fighter, then another 2 if you guess the method, then another 2 if you guess the round

I do want to see them fight(it's as good a fight as we can watch in the UFC), but the season has not really made me want it more than before.......it was always a fight that looked great on paper, some pathetic squabbling hasn't made me want it more.

Love watching both in the cage. Especially TJ, but TJ is so full of shit I swear.

And Cody, my god. Does he have to resemble the troubled kid from the trailor park every time he gets a camera on him? He acts like a total self destructive toddler that gets triggered the minute you say a word to him. I'm still astonished that he was able to focus enough and think soundly to beat Cruz like that. I thought Cruz had him mentally drained before the fight.

Still semi-shocked that Cody really did beat Cruz, and while Dom took it like a man and said he was beaten fair and square, I still believe Cruz was injured in that fight. His stiff-legged gait when trying to walk in said to me his foot/ankle were injured, badly enough to break up his usually smooth footwork, but no argument with the decision...

Also somewhat bemused, as I have watched some of two or three episodes this season, usually I just watch the actual fights, but there have been scenes where Cody appears reasonable, even thoughtful, and converses like a rational human, even with TJ. Then in the next scene, he's struggling for the 27th time to get at Dillishaw while his teammates are holding him back, like a fucking rabid dog, and I turn off the TV...

Have to agree with Tex, as Cruz is in my opinion one of the best minds in the sport, both as a fighter and especially as a commentator. With Garbrant in a red zone rage three quarters of the time, hard to reconcile the personality on display on TUF with the focused, disciplined fighter who beat a dominant champion for a world title. Hope Cody gets his back in order, and gets it on with Dillishaw as soon as possible...

I don't think there is any debate to that really, it's already well known he has major problems with plantar fasciitis, he has tried a lot of treatments but has openly admitted it is a big issue for him he just needs to work through now.
