I kind of agree, but also don't mind when he involves himself to stop someone cheating and it affects their positions, don't cheat and it don't matter. It is a bit different when it affects the opponent though, but there's really not much can be done about it, the guy is doing something he shouldn't, I prefer the ref moving to eliminate it and keep the fight flowing, than stopping and starting again, but obviously if it's a blatant foul the fight needs to be stopped. I'm not actually sure where the line is on these things, but if Goddard was doing wrong, it would be talked about but I don't really see anything on it(and by talked about, I mean the commissions and media, who actually know the rules, allegedly!)

Was all over Reddit, I rate that exactly like media and social media since they steal tons from it.

See I don't, social media is usually just full of opinions on rules and how they interpret them, the media usually do things correctly and research properly first. One thing I'd look to is Big John, who wrote the rules effectively, and he often praises Goddard's handlong of situations such as these.

Man, sounds like I missed a great event. Just watched UFC Tonight, and saw tons of great highlights.

Always been a fan of Jose Aldo, and was really pleased to see him come through against Stephens. That liver shot hurt me just watching the video... Also pleased to see Joanna get back on track, but agree with K-flo and DC, she needs at least a couple more fights before being considered for a third fight with champ Rose Namajunas. Will try to find the Alvarez/Poirier fight, as that one looked like a real old school brawl. Eddie is a Philadelphia home-boy, always pull for him, but sounds like there was some controversy there with fouls and ref calls.

Summer is my busiest time performing, and I've also been helping a friend with a construction remodel project, so been putting in six and seven day weeks, didn't even realize this event was happening. Hope to catch Dillishaw/Garbarant, and while I'm a huge Demetrious Johnson fan, I'm actually hoping some of the hype for Cejudo is true, and he really has made some strides, increasing the chance for a competitive fight.

Reddit is a mixture of both. There's actually been a few times Helwani has even stole from Reddit, you'd be surprised how much the media rips off reddit without giving credit.

Yeah man, Eddie is a fricken beast, he lost fair and square and he took a beating but he never gave up.....mad respect to him.

I'm actually heading out with my son Saturday to watch 227 at the Don Cherries in town
