The Official D-Rock for UFC Match Maker Thread

Play Joe Silva after each event and make matches between fighters who are not booked at the moment, and name guys that you feel warrant termination in this thread.

I'll start off with the the UFC's second best division, the Welterweight division.

    Release List:

Phil Baroni - Why was this guy even hired to begin with? It's clear that he can't hang in the UFC, and it was before he was even signed back to the promotion. Please release this guy Joe Silva, he has absolutely no stamina, and is not an asset in the least to the UFC.

Renzo Gracie - He showed absolutely horrible stamina against Hughes, and has horrible striking anyway. Go back to running your gym in New York, and train the fighters on the ground, don't be one yourself.

Yoshiyuki Yoshida - He was soundly shut down by Mike Guymon, and was knocked into Wonderland against Kos and Rumble, he's not needed, and releases are, and he should be released right now.

    Matches:

Mike Swick vs. Dustin Hazelett - Both guys are free, and apart of the top group of guys without a fight at the moment. I say make it happen at UFC 117 in Oakland Joe Silva.

Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson (for UFC 120 in October) - I really want to see Rumble move to 185 as soon as possible, but this would an intriguing fight, if he absolutely wants to continue to cut 50 pounds for every fight

Marcus Davis vs. Matt Serra - Marquee match between two veterans that would deliver guaranteed fireworks, make it happen at UFC 118 in Boston Joe Silva.

Rick Story vs. Mike Guymon - Story's on a roll right now, Guymon just picked a good win, both around the same rank, make sense for one of the August shows.

Brian Foster vs. T.J. Grant - Both coming off tough losses, but this would be a good fight for sure on one of the August shows.

Forgot to mention Hague and Goulet in the release list.

And Forrest vs. Machida is a really bad match, I don't want to see that fight. It'd probably be very similar to the fight with the Spider, just no and no on that one.

Not really tied to UFC 113 but I think I'm ready Mir/Nog II

I would try to do it sooner, maybe as some type of co-main or headline a UFN.

    1) Mir vs. Big Nog II would definately be a co-headliner for a PPV event 2) Not the right time, I don't want to see either guy lose again right now, and quite frankly I would feed any combination of Kongo, Nelson or Gonzaga to either one of them right now.

I would love to see Sakuraba back in the UFC and fight a catch weight fight with Matt Hughes. This fight would have ZERO impact on standings but it's just something I would love to see. The battle of the Gracie killers.
